Genesis 6: 4 says, “The sons of God went into the daughters of men”
Some argue that angels had sexual relations with human women, but it is doubtful as the angels were not capable of reproduction.
A clue to what is one of the most controversial verses, lies in the conception of Jesus. A sperm-like seed had to fertilize Mary’s egg. In fact the Greek word Sper’ma actually means seed and implies something sown.

The egg was part
divine DNA and part human. Something akin to that was in Adam, for God said,
“let us make man in our image”. The DNA blueprint carried aspects of God in its
code. Hence they were called sons of God and Jesus was called the “second Adam”
(1 Cor 15:45).
Jesus was the Son of
God not just because of His DNA, which was not superior to what was once sown
into Adam. Thus, He was a Genesis 6 “son of God”, as others were, but He was
THE Son of God because of His eternal Spirit (Hebrews 9:14).
Another, pre-Edenic
race, had humanlike features but without God’s spirit were crude and
insentient. Cross-breeding probably resulted in the giant Nephilim, half-men
like Goliath.
The “sons of God” were imbued with a moral
conscience (Romans 1 and 2)
That “gift” set us
above animals to ensure species continuity and advantage, and the capacity to
love and nurture. 2 Thes 2:7 tells us that in the tribulation period, God will
withdraw that faculty as part of His judgment, thus consigning men to their
chosen, Godless end.
The cross-breeding that
followed, troubled God. He needed to preserve and refine the line of Seth, the
third son of Adam, as it was the human line of the great redeemer.
So God ordained a
flood to remove such disruptive strains. They were a temporary necessity, a
throwback to the species before homo-sapiens, better geared to a harsher world.
The mists that watered
the earth tell us that the water suspended in the atmosphere by greenhouse
conditions, was nearing collapse and precipitation.
Under the mantle were
also vast subterranean caverns of water, which warming up due to friction
caused by lunar gravity. Job confirms the pillars that supported those caverns
(Job 9:6).
We have limited knowledge of all of that. But
then Noah appears.
Noah was a righteous
man in an evil world. God told him to build the ark. It would be 520 feet long,
86 feet wide and 5 stories high – equivalent to a bulk carrier.
God covenanted with
Noah to preserve his seed. It followed the Adamic/Edenic covenants that perpetuated
Adam and Eve and promised the seed that would crush the serpent.
After 120 years of
building, the ark was completed in Noah’s 600th year. In the second
month the windows of heaven opened to shed vast volumes of suspended water. The
greater source of deluge came as pillars below collapsed to release the
fountains of the deep.
Noah, his sons Shem,
Ham and Japheth, with their respective wives, survived the deluge.
The flood lasted 150
days or 5 months. It took a further 3 months for the tops of the mountains to
appear and a further 3 months for the earth to dry up.
Significant silting
has been found as far away as Australia. The grand Canyon and the Black Sea
basin probably resulted from it. Parallel records appear in Mesopotamian
archaeology.
When the dove and
raven were released, the raven found plenty of pickings in floating carcasses -
a picture of Satan feasting on our flesh like a vulture. The dove, a picture of
God’s Spirit, looked for life and returned with a living Olive Branch.
It had to be living
and rooted in the earth, to qualify as evidence of dry land. It is a picture of
Israel and the church (Rom 11:24), which will outlive God’s coming judgment.
Once they touched
down, a rainbow confirmed that God would never again judge the earth with
water. It was called the Noahic covenant.
The animals were released and Noah’s sons were told
to go out and multiply
That watershed marked
the rising of three ‘races’, duly listed in the Table of Nations.
The descendants of Ham, cursed by Noah after he failed to cover his father's nakedness, settled southwards, but were destined to serve Canaan.Canaan or Shem, father of the Semites, stayed in the Mesopotamian region. Japheth sired the Caucasus people to the north.
One of Ham's descendants, Nimrod or, as an ancient coin calls him, Ninus, built Nineveh using the first mud-bricks, He hunted with dogs and horses, but his name means, "The Rebel" for he turned men against God. Josephus said, "He is Gilgamesh, the one who claimed to have killed Yahweh".

More notably he married the prostitute Semiramis, but fobbed her off as a virgin with child, which later informed many pagan images, of Artemis, Isis, Aprodite, and others. She is also likely to be the image on the Brazilian currency, the woman from Columbia movies and Lady Liberty.
She assumed her divinity on the self-proclaimed presumption that if her son, thus born, was a god that made her the mother of a god. In Christianising pagan symbolism, her image was re-branded as "Madonna and Child" and Mary was duly called, "the mother of God".
Well eventually, after Nimrod threatened her status, she had him torn apart and became the moon-goddess Ishtar, the root of Easter and oestrous, which implied fertility - hence the Easter-egg. She lived in the Ishtar gate of Babylon.
She, more than any other candidate, characterizes the great whore of Revelation. She was surely one of the most wicked souls to walk the earth, but Nimrod, the "sun god" was hardly better.
Sadly, thanks to such influences, the people had
barely recovered from judgment before they started to rebel again. Judgment
never washed away sin, it merely restored balances and removed the disruptive
relics of the past, to facilitate human self-determination.
In rebelling they
became God-like in their nature. The bible speaks of “mystery Babylon the
great” in the Revelation, for ending Babel only delayed a showdown yet to come. They sought to reach the heavens and to exalt themselves as gods.
Now, men have reached
the heavens and, like Gods, can use technology to watch over all and control
human destiny. God preempted that then by fragmenting dialects to allow
cultures to develop as a balancing factor – again, to facilitate human
advancement.
However, barriers like
language and culture are now succumbing to bridges like globalization, the
internet and centralization of order regarding the environment and world trade.
That is bringing things to a head.
The missing capstone
on the pyramid on the dollar note, will be capped.
The platform that men
have been building for ages, will provide a throne for the dark, malevolent
presence of Satan, who will be forced to become a man so he can be judged as a
man and die as a man and then be cut off by the Son of God.
However, God then
counter-moved, for through Shem He initiated the crimson-line that would extend
to Abraham and through Him to the promised seed: Jesus.
